Bill Evans (1929-1980) was a prominent American jazz pianist and composer. Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, his unique approach reshaped jazz trio music. Evans’ collaborations, especially with Miles Davis, were crucial in the evolution of modal jazz. He was known for his lyrical style and complex harmonies. Renowned compositions like “Waltz for Debby” have secured his legacy in music history. His work continues to inspire, marking him as a lasting icon in music.

“You’re Gonna Hear From Me” is a live album by Bill Evans with Eddie Gómez and Marty Morell recorded at the Jazzhus Montmartre in Copenhagen in 1969 but not released until 1988 on the Milestone label.
