The Vendôme column – Architectural Prints

The royal squares of Paris, located at the heart of the capital, have long been associated with symbols of power and political significance. One of the most famous examples is Place Vendôme and its iconic Column. The Vendôme Column was originally erected by Napoleon to commemorate the Battle of Austerlitz and stood at the center of the square until it was torn down by the Paris Commune in May 1871. However, it was eventually re-erected and remains a prominent landmark on the square to this day.
