George Ford Morris (1873–1960) was the foremost American equestrian artist of his time, celebrated for capturing the power, elegance, and personality of the horse. His work reflects the fast-changing world of horses in American history during the early to mid-20th century, with a style that feels both classic and full of life. Equally accomplished as a painter, sculptor, illustrator, and lithographer, Morris was largely self-taught, yet also studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and later at the Académie Julian in Paris. His illustrations appeared in leading publications such as The American Horseman, Breeder’s Gazette, Western Horseman, and National Horseman, among others, across a career that spanned more than seventy years.
Our art print is designed to elevate your home, office, or gallery wall, and it also makes a thoughtful horse lovers gift for riders, trainers, and collectors—perfect for anyone who appreciates timeless equestrian style.
