The Tent Tortoise (Psammobates tentorius) is a species of tortoise native to southern Africa. It is small, with an average carapace length of around 10 cm, and is well-adapted to life in hot, arid regions. The species is active during the day and feeds on vegetation, but is considered vulnerable due to habitat loss and collection for the pet trade. Conservation efforts are underway to protect the Tent Tortoise and its habitat.
