Percy Heath

Percy Heath (1923-2005) was an American jazz bassist known for his virtuosic and melodic playing style. He gained fame as a member of the Modern Jazz Quartet in the 1940s and 1950s, and was also a prolific composer and arranger. Heath continued to perform and record throughout his life, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest jazz bassists in history.
