Mercury was a brand of automobiles produced by the Ford Motor Company from 1938 to 2011. Mercury vehicles were positioned as upscale models that offered more luxury and convenience features than Ford cars, but were priced lower than comparable models from Lincoln, Ford’s luxury brand. Mercury vehicles were known for their distinctive design and spacious interiors, and were popular with families and consumers looking for a more affordable alternative to luxury cars. The brand was discontinued in 2011 as part of Ford’s restructuring efforts.
